COURSE GRADING PRACTICES

Course grades will be determined roughly by the following formula:*

 Homework  10%
 Midterm 1  25
 Midterm 2  25
 Final exam  40%

*The instructor reserves the right to include subjective assessment of your progress, effort, class participation, and exceptional performances on simulations and on exams in determining your course grade. Attendance is required. You may miss one class without any questions asked. After that, your grade may be reduced.

All work is to be done and turned in on time. Late work will be marked down. In the event of a legitimate excuse to miss an exam, such as serious illness or death in the immediate family, you are responsible for notifying Ms. Diedra Price, 621-8118 or my answering machine, 621-8303 in advance of the scheduled exam. (Sports events, early flights home, ill friends, other course work, family visits, et. al. are not legitimate excuses.) In the event of illness, a Baxter or other Doctor’s note must be provided.
