My current research interests:

(1) Capital theory with emphasis on economic depreciation and asset revaluation

I am currently working with Professor Charles R. Hulten, University of Maryland and the American Enterprise Institute. Our research deals with theories and estimation of asset values including estimates of economic depreciation, asset revaluation, the rate of embodied technological change, and the proportion of new technology attributable to manna from heaven.

(2) Economic growth in transition economies

I am currently working on a book-length manuscript with Professor Patricia Dillon, Scripps College, on the first ten years of experience in 8 countries after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The book contains 6 theory chapters and 6 country chapters, 2 appendix chapters and a technical appendix as follows.

(3) Expanding Economic Accounts for Productivity Analysis: A Nonmarket and Human Capital Perspective, by Barbara Fraumeni, discussant: Frank C. Wykoff, June 1998.

(4)  Comment on Armknecht, Lane and Stewart, New Products and the US Consumer Price Index, by Frank C. Wykoff.
